Sabres Hall of Fame inductees

In 2010 the Sturt Sabres Basketball Club celebrated 50 years of competition. As part of the extensive 50th season celebrations, the committee initiated the hall of fame to recognise the outstanding players,coaches,referees and contributors to the club. The selection criteria for this prestigious recognition can be found under the policies tab on the home page.

Leonie Ware and Mal Heard were  last night inducted as the very first hall of famers for Sturt Basketball Club.

Both Leonie and Mal are very worthy recipients of this honour and we wish to thank them both for their tireless contribution to the success of the club.

At the Sabres 2010 senior presentation we inducted a further two recipients of this prestigious honour.

Rod Bauer and Michelle Gillings were the worthy duo and we are honoured that our club is associated with such outstanding club people.
